There was never a formal or voluntary recall of these bottles, but the Sigg Company will replace any of the old bottles with the new upon request.

Cleaning and maintaining tips:
Always clean manually – not suitable for a dishwasher.
Rinse bottle and cap (separately) after each use, with hot water and a drop of liquid soap.
Dry completely and store without cap on bottle.
Do not keep any type of liquid in the bottle for long term storage.
